As part of a pre-assignment visit, our local area expert will ensure your employee and their family get to know the location before they move, which will help them settle in faster. This familiarisation with the areas of the city will take in the location of schools, shopping districts and dining hotspots, transport and travel links, the current state of the real estate market and gives employee a great overview of what their relocation will feel like.

Home Search

Finding the right property in the right location and for the right price is always a challenge. Following a detailed call with us, in which each individual’s needs are carefully assessed and understood, and in which we honestly advise and tactfully set expectations, our housing Consultant identifies the properties which best suit each client’s needs. They are essential to our process and our Consultants are the best in the business. They prepare an itinerary of properties to view, and accompany clients on their visits. We ensure that the optimum conditions for the contract are reached and once we set up the utility services for the property we can ensure that the client has a smooth transition into their new home.

  • Home search assistance that includes tour of residential areas customised to your lifestyle and budget
  • Assistance with lease negotiation
  • Assistance with property hand-over (inspection report provided with digital photos)
  • Lease renewal

School Search

Singularly the biggest concern of any relocating client, children’s education requirements need to be approached with care and consideration. Aside from the location and availability of places, we will also look at current and future education needs for the child, such as the possible transitioning back to a home country.

Our dedicated schooling experts at Bowker provide a range of services to assist each child’s successful transition to a new educational environment. From initial enquiry to successful placement, they provide telephone and email support, with the option of face to face meetings and accompanied school visits if required.

They specialise in supporting families who are:

  • Relocating within the UK
  • Relocating to the UK from overseas
  • Relocating from the UK to overseas destinations
  • Moving from one country to another (non-UK)
  • Planning their children’s future education and next steps
  • Seeking other advice regarding aspects of their children’s education.

They understand that each family is different and therefore our advice and detailed education research is tailored to each family’s  needs and requirements.

  • Advice on all aspects of the education system including curriculum, curriculum differences, learning styles, schooling options, repatriation issues, etc.
  • Compilation  of possible options based on assessment of the child’s requirements and the availability of possible spaces
  • Advice on application process and all appropriate testing requirements.

Arrangement of appointments to tours schools and meetings with principals or registrars. Our housing and schooling Consultants work closely to ensure that the school and home searches come together. 

Settling In

Settling quickly into a new job is one thing, settling into a new life is another. We understand at MyReloGenie that the success of an assignment is intrinsically linked to how well the individual and importantly the family settle into their new environment that is why we tailor our settling in programmes to the needs of each individual family. Some will require practical help on lifestyle matters such as the best supermarkets, shops where to buy the best bread, to more specialist areas such as best places to practice a given hobby or sport, or how to take a crash course in the local language.

Our settling-in assistance is designed to make this process as smooth as possible, providing support on arrival in the new location. This means your employee is able to focus on completing their new role, without worrying about their family, housing, or basic needs.  It may take the form of practical accompanied day out or a more research based service – each person is different and we naturally adapt to suit.

 

Expense Management

Any Global Mobility programme creates a complex, individual and variable trail of relocation expenses, international payments, and tax and international social security liabilities; a trail that needs to be checked, reconciled, reported and paid. So a relatively small assignee population can create a large headache.

Departures

Terminating an assignment and all that it entails can be  just as challenging as beginning one. Our departure services ensure your employee will be fully supported to finalise and close down all local commitments such as lease termination, arrangement of end of tenancy clean, and coordination of check out, cancelling utilities, bank accounts and any subscriptions. etc.

We ensure they are supported and assisted in all personal aspects  before returning back to their country or origin, or to the next assignment location.

Immigration
